Monarch, bold and defiant, is one of two blends recreated year-round specifically designed for espresso. They wanted an espresso that intentionally worked with higher amounts of milk and would represent a more traditional style. Cream and plant based beverages mix with ease, creating a rich, decadent flavor.

For this blend, they use a combination of seasonal natural processed coffee from Ethiopia and a washed coffee from Latin America to showcase sugar and complexity.

Flavor Profile:

Bittersweet dark chocolate, a mulled wine acidic sweetness, molasses, and a hint of dried berries on the finish. The coffee is extremely heavy and dense with a velvety-like mouthfeel.
It involves a natural, sugar-dense coffee that binds to the fats and creates multiple complex caramelized notes during the roasting process.

PACKAGING

Mailers: 10oz and 2lb are certified home compostable, made from a number of renewable plant-based materials and bio-polymers.
Boxes: 10oz are made from unbleached, uncoated paperboard, which are easily recyclable. Boxes come from WestRock, which gathers recycled materials, processes and repurposes the fiber, and creates new boxes with it.
Bags: 10oz, 2lb, and 5lb utilize Biotre 2.0 packaging which is made from 60% compostable and renewable film layers.
